How many times have we heard this phrase over the years? I never really gave it too much thought until our faculty/staff Christmas gathering this year. Our hospitality committee, under the genius mind of Mrs. Ledbetter, thought that it would be such a neat idea if we divided the staff into teams to go on a scavenger hunt in search of puzzle pieces. This hunt allowed us to revisit different parts of the building in search of clues, reflect on a little nostalgia, and of course, locate those coveted puzzle pieces! The first team to return to the library had to put the puzzle together, which happened to be a picture of our new school. We then proceeded to our new school for the gathering. It was at that moment that I realized that our time in the "old" LES was quickly coming to an end. It was also at that moment that I began to reminisce about the many years I have spent in this school. We have laughed and cried together, loved and yes, sometimes even disliked one another, but through it all, we have remained "LES Strong". As we transition into our new building, there are lots of memories we will take with us, but the one thing above all else that will remain in the forefront of our thoughts is our continued commitment to excellence. It is what propelled us through our first 51 years of existence and is what will guide us in the many years to come. Thank you for all that you do to assist us, and for supporting us along the way. Go, Counts!
