Notes from Nurse Rhonda

Please monitor your child and if they are experiencing any type of illness, please keep them at home. Always practice good hand hygiene, remind them to cover coughs and sneezes, and how to properly wear their masks.

Per DHEC, Quarantine means:

*Your child will be required to stay home and not come into contact with other people during this time. They should not play with other children even if they feel well. Someone being quarantined should not attend school, daycare, or participate in any extracurricular activities. It is possible to spread the virus to others while being asymptomatic.

*Keep your child separate from other family members who may be at high risk, such as the elderly or those with health conditions.

While adapting to our new normal, a quarantine plan for your child may need to be in place. If your child is considered a close contact to a positive COVID-19 case or tests positive for COVID-19, quarantine times can range from 7 days to 24 days.

Please contact me if your child or household member tests positive for COVID-19 or if your child is quarantined by another facility or DHEC.  803-425-8960 or
