Face to Face Student Updates

In order to ensure student safety, shareable snacks will not be allowed at school this year.  If you would like to purchase snacks or treats for your child’s class to share, you are welcome to utilize our Food Services snack time service.  Please contact our cafeteria manager, Mrs. Elmore if you would like to order using this service at least 2 weeks in advance of the date the treats are needed.  She can be reached at betty.elmore@kcsdschools.net.

You may send a packed lunch to school or your child may eat the school lunch, but we are not allowing parents to drop off food from other locations during the school day.

Parents please make sure you send your child with all supplies and material needed for school daily.  If you forget something, you will be able to drop it off in our foyer outside of the office.  You will need to label the item with your child’s name and the teacher’s name.  We will collect the item from the area and deliver it to the classroom.

Our water fountains can not be used at this time.  Please send a labeled refillable water bottle with your child, so they can have access to water during the school day.

Please make sure your child comes to school with a mask on daily.  Masks will be required in the building.  Students will need to wear a face mask.  Face shields are not allowed.

Remember, do not send your  child to school if they are sick. We check temperatures at school daily. If your child or anyone in your household is positive with COVID-19, please notify our school nurse, Rhonda Shirey-Ware at rhonda.shireyware@kcsdschools.net.

We appreciate your support while we make every effort to ensure student safety during the school day!
