Hepfner accepts principal position at Lyman Elementary School

March 23, 2021

Allison Hepfner Doby's Mill Elementary (DME) School Principal Allison Hepfner has accepted a position as the principal of Lyman Elementary School for the 2021-22 school year.

"I am sorry to see her leave, but excited for the next steps for her and her family," said Kershaw County School District (KCSD) Superintendent Shane Robbins. "She is dedicated and hard-working and has provided stability during a year of much uncertainty. She will certainly be missed."

Hepfner has served as the DME principal since the 2018-19 school year and was Camden Elementary School’s assistant principal for two and a half years prior to that. She was named the KCSD Reading Administrator of the Year in 2018.

I have loved every moment of my time as a leader of Kershaw County School District," she said. "The staff and community are unlike any other, and I have been blessed to serve them the past five and a half years. There will always be a special place in my heart for KCSD."

Robbins said that a committee that includes parent, teacher and staff representatives will help with hiring Hepfner's replacement.
