A familiar face will be returning to lead the financial department of the Kershaw County School District (KCSD). Erin Boyce—a Lugoff-Elgin High School graduate who previously served as KCSD’s Accounting Supervisor—will assume the CFO duties in February.
“Mrs. Boyce knows our school district and school finance operations as well as brings experience from state government that will be extremely helpful,” said KCSD Superintendent Shane Robbins. “I was impressed with her finance and leadership skills. She has worked to create and maintain networking relationships that add value to her role.”
Boyce has served as the Chief of Staff for the SC Department of Health and Human Services since September of 2019. Prior to this position, she also worked as the agency’s Chief Financial Officer, Budget Director and Budget Manager.
She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor degree of science in business administration. Boyce is a certified public accountant and a graduate of both Milbank’s Emerging Leaders Program and SC’s Certified Public Manager Program.
Boyce is replacing KCSD’s CFO Donnie Wilson who is retiring. Wilson will continue to assist the district with its construction and bond financing.
