Jenkins to serve as KCSD Educational Technology Coordinator

Former Richland One Teacher Induction and Retention Program Coordinator Dr. Remona Jenkins has been selected to serve as the Kershaw County School District's Educational Technology Coordinator.
In her new role, Jenkins will help teachers use and understand how to integrate technology to enhance student learning. She will also supervise the district's Technology Integration Specialists and provide support with curriculum creation and professional development that focus on technology integration and differentiation strategies.
At Richland One, Jenkins coordinated professional learning for over 200 induction teachers and was the district liaison for National Board. She also administered Richland One's three-day New Teacher Orientation summer institute. Prior to that position, she served as Richland One's elementary social studies coordinator and was an instructional facilitator at Fairfield Elementary School. She started her career as a teacher at Brennen Elementary School.
Jenkins received her bachelor of science degree from the University of North Carolina, a masters of education degree in elementary education from the University of Phoenix, a masters of education degree in educational leadership from the American College of Education and a doctorate degree in philosophy from Lacrosse University. She is a candidate for a doctorate in educational leadership from the American College of Education. She is National Board Certified and is an SC Mentor Trainer.
