KCSD ​schools closed Thursday, Sept. 5

closed Due to Hurricane Dorian and concerns with high winds for school buses, Kershaw County School District (KCSD) schools will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 5. The district office and adult education classes will be open. This will be an eLearning day for KCSD students. A decision about Thursday's afterschool extracurricular activities will be made tomorrow.

Teachers will be working and available for student questions during their virtual office hours tomorrow:

Elementary Schools: 9 a.m.-noon
Middle Schools: 9 a.m.- noon
High Schools 11 a.m.- 2 p.m.

Technology staff will be answering technology-related issues via phone calls at 425-8916, ext. 6622 or by email at esupport@kcsdschools.net.

KCSD will park activity buses that are equipped with free Wi-Fi at the following locations from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Baron DeKalb Elementary School, 2684 Baron Dekalb Rd, Camden, SC 29020

Other local businesses with free Wi-Fi are Books on Broad and Starbucks in Camden as well as McDonald’s locations in Camden and Lugoff. Updated information about sites with free Wi-Fi is available at www.kcsdschools.net/wifi.
