KCSD Learning Options

  • The Kershaw County School District is planning for three different learning models for the 2020-21 School Year.  Parents will select the learning option for their children during online registration.  There will be a process for parents to request a change to another learning option at the mid-point of each 9-weeks (each 4 1/2 weeks.)

Option 1

  • KCSD Learning Option 1 - Face-to-Face

    Face-to-Face Instruction

Class takes place at the students' school.

Instruction takes place in the student's school while following COVID-19 specific standard operating procedures.

This option provides face-to-face learning opportunities with teachers and peers in the traditional classroom.

Option 2

  • Option 2 - eCampus Live

    Virtual eCampus Live

Class takes place virtually utilizing KCSD digital curriculum.

The student’s class is provided through a livestream allowing for student participation using digitally protected KCSD technology tools. Group work and activities will be modified to meet the needs of students working virtually.

This is a synchronous (real-time) environment.

Option 3

  • Option 3 - eCampus Self-Paced

    Virtual “eCampus” Self-Paced

Class takes place virtually utilizing KCSD digital curriculum.

Students can watch the day's lessons at their own pace. This option provides for ultimate flexibility while still providing students with specific teacher support.

This is an asynchronous ("anytime, 24/7") environment.
