Prom Information 2021

  • As part of its commitment to adjust activities based on updated information, the Kershaw County School District (KCSD) has revised its guidelines concerning guests for its high school proms.

    Prom guests may now include non-KCSD students. Certain prom guests will be required to provide results of a negative rapid COVID test that has been administered no earlier than 48 hours prior to the prom. This negative test requirement applies to 1) Any non-KCSD student and 2) Any KCSD virtual student.

    • North Central High Prom

      Date: May 13 at 7 p.m.
      Timeframe for guests required to take tests: Any time between 7 p.m. on May 11 and 7 p.m. on May 13
      Return results: Can be emailed to david.branham@kcsdschools.net or printed copy presented upon arrival at the prom.

    • Camden High Prom

      Date: May 15 at 7 p.m.
      Timeframe for guests required to take tests: Any time between 7 p.m. on May 13 and 7 p.m. on May 15
      Return results: Can be emailed to lesley.corner@kcsdschools.net before 2 p.m. on May 14 or printed copy presented upon arrival to prom.

    • Lugoff-Elgin High Prom

      Date: May 21 at 8PM-11PM
      Timeframe for guests required to take tests: Any time between 8PM on May 19 and 8PM on May 21
      Return results: corey.wright@kcsdschools.net

     

    All KCSD prom attendees will have their temperatures checked as well as be required to sanitize their hands and wear face masks.

    Prom guests can choose to receive a rapid COVID test from any location but here are two sites that are providing this service:

    • Lowcountry Urgent Care - CAMDEN
      (free rapid testing currently available while supplies last)
      Monday - Saturday 8am - 8pm, Sunday 9am - 6pm
