After careful consultation with local emergency management officials and after visiting each of its schools, Kershaw County School District has made the decision to open all schools and offices on a two-hour delay on Monday, September 30. This means school start times are two hours later than normal. School bus riders should report to their bus stops two hours later than their usual times.

The delay on Monday will allow for better road visibility for everyone traveling to school, and will give district and transportation officials time to assess roads again before buses start running their morning routes.

Students in three-year-old preschool special needs programs will not attend school on Monday, September 30. Morning Woolard Technology Center students will attend classes on a two-hour delay. The Woolard Technology Center Child Development Center will operate on a two-hour delay.

Breakfast and lunch will be served on Monday.

We understand that there may be isolated circumstances where conditions are still challenging. If families have specific questions or concerns, they should contact their child's school directly.

We recognize that power outages may have affected some of our students' ability to complete e-Learning assignments on Friday. Please be assured that students have until Friday, October 4 to submit any outstanding work.
