At the December 5 Board of Trustees Meeting, the Kershaw County School District Board of Trustees approved the hire of Daniel H. Humber as an assistant principal at North Central High School.

Humber joins North Central High with seven years of school administration experience. He currently serves as an assistant principal at South Florence High School, where he has worked for three years. Prior to this, he worked at Florence Career Center as the assistant director and at Westwood High School as an assistant administrator. Before becoming a school administrator, he spent 18 years as a band director and music educator in Tennessee and in South Carolina. 

"We are excited to have Mr. Humber as part of our Knight family. Mr. Humber has a wide variety of experiences, and his educational philosophy aligns with the vision of our school," says North Central High School Principal David Branham. 

Humber earned a Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Tennessee and a Master of Education degree in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina.

He is a member of the Palmetto State Teachers Association and the South Carolina Association of School Administrators.
