KCSD invests in student safety with the purchase of Guardian Caps
Camden, SC – The Kershaw County School District is proud to announce a significant investment in the safety of its student athletes. The district has purchased Guardian Caps for all of the middle and high schools’ approximately 500 football players to be worn during practice sessions.
Guardian Caps are a proven method of reducing head-contact injuries. Guardian Caps are soft-shell covers worn over the helmets to provide extra cushioning and enhanced safety, especially for helmet-to-helmet contact. The innovative caps also help insulate helmets, keeping the head 15-20 degrees cooler, providing added comfort and protection for our student athletes.
“Student safety is our top priority,” said Rhea Faris, Director of Student Services for Kershaw County School District. “I am grateful that our Student Activities Directors worked together to recognize this need and propose the purchase of the Guardian Caps. We believe this investment is a proactive step to safeguarding the well-being of our young athletes, demonstrating that our district is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for our students.”
The Kershaw County School District is committed to providing the highest level of care and support for its student athletes.
