KCSD cancels all weekend activities (Saturday & Sunday) and announces Monday, January 26 as an e-Learning Day
Kershaw County School District is canceling all weekend activities (Saturday and Sunday) and will shift to an E-learning Day for Monday, January 26, as anticipated severe winter weather is forecasted for our area this weekend, likely causing unsafe road conditions and possible power outages into Monday. All school buildings and offices will be closed. All Monday after school activities are also cancelled.
Teachers will post student assignments in Canvas or provide materials. Specific instructions will be communicated to students and parents from teachers and schools. If possible, teachers will be working remotely on Monday, and will be available for student questions during their virtual office hours:
Elementary Schools: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Middle and High Schools: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
We realize that power outages are likely during this winter weather, so students will be given ample time to complete all assignments to be counted present.
Technology staff will be answering technology-related issues via email at esupport@kcsdschools.net.
Thank you for your patience as we navigate this weather situation. As always, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority.
