KCSD announces regular school schedule for Tuesday, January 27

Kershaw County School District will be on a regular school schedule on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. After-school activities and events will also resume on Tuesday. 

To prepare for our return tomorrow, district and school teams spent time today visiting our schools to confirm that heating systems are operational and facilities are ready for students and staff.

All e-Learning assignments are due by Monday, February 2, for students to be counted present for January 26.

As you are probably aware, the weather forecast for tomorrow is calling for very cold conditions in the morning. 

We are making the following accommodations to ensure a smooth and warm start to the day:

• The heat at all schools and district offices has been placed in occupied mode all weekend and today so that buildings stay warm and do not have to heat up in the morning. 
   

• The State School Bus Shop and district transportation staff are checking and starting school buses today, and will have additional early morning staff on duty in case any buses have issues with the cold.

Parents, please be sure that your students dress appropriately for the cold weather.
