  • Gobble Grams

    Send your CHILD or CHILD"S teacher a friendly note to let them know how thankful you are for them!

    FCA will be selling GOBBLE GRAMS Nov. 13– 20 for $1.
    A note and piece of candy will be attached!
    Parents can purchase one in the main office or send an envelope with the following information and $1 to the main office by their student. Gobble grams will be delivered to student in their homeroom on Nov. 22.
    1. Student or Teacher First and Last Name
    2. Who the GG is from
    3. We can attach a note from you if you include it in the envelope.

    ALL proceeds go to the NCMS Angel Tree Project

  • County Reading Award

    North Central Middle School's 7th grade reading teacher Mary Barrett

    was named the 2017-18 Kershaw County Secondary Reading Teacher of the Year

    by the Kershaw County Reading Council Thursday night.

  • We received a "Rising Star Certificate" for raising $1,000, and are a "Bronze Event Sponser" for Relay for Life.

  • Saturday the North Central Silver Knights Marching Band competed in class A at the 31st Annual Hartsville Tournament of Bands.  After a long day of competition the Silver Knights were victorious, earning a first place finish as well as the caption award for highest visual performance!  Great job, Silver Knights!

    Have you turned in your child's excuse?

    Excuse Reminders:

    • You must send in an excuse within 5 days of returning to school.
    • Excuses can be a doctor’s excuse or a written parent note.
    • It must state reason for absence.
    • It must be signed by parent or guardian.
    • Only 10 parent excuses are allowed during the school year
    • After 5 absences without a doctor or parent note, the child will be placed on a Truancy Intervention Plan

  • Parents'/Guardians' Rights Notification

    Parents/Guardians in the Kershaw County School District have the right to learn about the following qualifications of their child's teacher: state licensure requirements for the grade level and content areas taught, the current licensing status of your child's teacher, and baccalaureate/graduate certification/degree. You may also request the qualifications of an instructional paraprofessional who serves your student in a Title I program or if your school operates a schoolwide Title I program. Parents/Guardians may request this information from the Principal, Dr. Burchel Richardson, by calling 803 424-2740 or by sending a letter of request to Dr. Burchell Richardson, Principal, North Central Middle School, 805 Keys Lane, Kershaw, SC  29067.

    I would like to welcome you to the North Central Middle School website! North Central Middle School is composed of three grades (6-8) with approximately 400 students. Our faculty and staff work hard in developing successful and responsible students by providing a positive, challenging, and safe environment in which to learn. Utilizing state of the art technology, our students are exposed to the curriculum in many innovative ways. We offer many programs to enhance the school experience for our young Patriots. Some of the programs include Pride of the Principal, Patriots Read, Patriot Pride Club, North Centrals Finest, Birthday Books Program, New Horizons, Our Time Together (OTT) and DEAR. These are just a few of the activities that are in place to support our vigorous educational program. I hope you enjoy your time learning more about North Central Middle School.
