Promotion Policy

Secondary students will be classified by grade only at the beginning of each school year or when enrolling in the district for the first time. The Promotion and Retention of students is defined by our School Board Policy IKE.

10th Grade

  • A total of 6 units including English I and a unit of Mathematics and the completion of 1 full year in high school

11th Grade

  • A total of 12 units including English I and English II, 2 units of Mathematics,  1 unit of science, and the completion of two full years in high school

12th Grade

  • A total of 18 units including English I, II, and III, three units of Mathematics, 2 units of science, 1 unit of Social Studies, and the completion of three full years of high school.
