Miss Leigh Abee

This is my second year at Lugoff-Elgin Middle School. I began my career in education in 2006 and was part of the Lugoff-Elgin High faculty from 2007-2021. As part of my administrative duties, I will be working with students with last names beginning A-K as well as serving as the school test coordinator for state assessments. I graduated with a B.A. in English from Columbia College and a M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from Southern Wesleyan University. I look forward to serving the students, families, staff, and community of Lugoff-Elgin Middle School and Kershaw County.

Miss LaKeisha S. Lawrence

I am very excited to serve as Assistant Principal of Lugoff-Elgin Middle School!

I am originally from Charleston, SC. I graduated from Clemson University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. I also have a Master of Science degree from Walden University in Mathematics (K-5 Specialization) and a Master of Education degree in Administration and Supervision from Southern Wesleyan University. 

I began my teaching career at Camden Elementary School, where I taught fifth grade for 11 years. I then moved up to the middle school level and taught seventh grade math at Camden Middle School for 5 years. This will be my third year in the role of Assistant Principal at LEMS. 

I am looking forward to another wonderful year of getting to know and working with the Lugoff-Elgin Middle School family and community.
