Mr. Cody Strong

My name is Cody Strong and I am thrilled to be the Assistant Principal at Lugoff-Elgin Middle School.  I am a proud graduate of the Kershaw County School District.  I graduated from Winthrop University in 2007 with a B.A. in History and then from Gardner-Webb University in 2015 with a M.Ed. in Executive Leadership.  I began my teaching career at Rock Hill High School where I taught Social Studies from 2008-2016.  I was also a baseball and swim teach coach while at Rock Hill High.  In 2016-2017, I was at Kelly Mill Middle School where I was also a Social Studies teacher.

I am married to an absolutely wonderful woman who is also a Kershaw County graduate and we have two sons, Jake (4) and Grayson (2).  I am a huge Clemson fan and my personal interests include woodworking, hunting/fishing, and spending time with my family.  It is a dream come true to be able to be back in Kershaw County and I am looking forward to working with the students, faculty, and community in Kershaw County.  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.  Thanks and let's have a great year!
