B.A. Elementary Education Master of Instructional Accommodation National Board Certified Read to Succeed Endorcement
I graduated from Clemson University with a B.A. in Elementary Education in 1995 and from Francis Marion University with a Master of Instructional Accommodation in 2005. I was Baron DeKalb's Teacher of the Year in 2001 and Reading Teacher of the Year in 2005. In 2016, I completed my Read 2 Succeed Endorsement. In 2008, I received my initial National Board Certification in Early Childhood Education. In 2017, I successfully renewed my National Board Certification. Currently, I am pursuing my literacy teacher add on and working on my Masters plus 30.
This is my 24th year of teaching and my 23rd year here at Baron DeKalb Elementary. I have taught kindergarten, second grade, and fifth grade. In addition, I served as the Curriculum Support Coach for several years. Currently, I am the Technology Lab Instructor, Lead Technology Instructor, Interventionist, School Testing and Textbook Coordinator, and PBIS Behavior Lead. I have a very supportive husband and my amazing daughter is a freshman at Clemson University.
