Mrs. Robin Sowell

I am so happy to be starting year 26th year in Kershaw County. I am the Reading Interventionist at North Central Elementary and will be traveling to the three campuses until we merge. I am so excited to be able to work with our most precious treasures this year!! Let me tell you a little more about me.

I am a graduate of Converse College with a bachelor's of arts degree in Teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing with a minor in Elementary Education.  I also have a Master's Degree in Instructional Accommodation and a Master's +30 degree in Literacy. I am a National Board Certified teacher, I have an add on certification for R2S, Literacy Coach, and ESOL. I am married to Billy Sowell, a member of the Kershaw County Sheriff's Department Core Team and we have two beautiful daughters. Our oldest daughter Hannah, graduated Converse College with a double major in History and Politics and lives in Florida where she is pursuing a law degree.  Our youngest daughter MariElizabeth, is in her 2nd year of college and pursuing an Associates degree in Business Management. We have two fur babies, K9 Koda who works with Billy my husband and sweet Ziggy, our little dog, who is 6 years old. I have taught grades 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 2/3 Multi-age class and I was a Literacy Coach for 5 years.

I believe that reading is the key to discovery and without it you will be lost. I look forward to a wonderful year at NCE where we are striving for Excellence...Always.
