Mrs. Goodwin is a 1984 graduate of Camden High School, though she only attended CHS for her senior year. Prior to that, she attended The American School of the Hague in the Netherlands.  She went on to attain a degree in Secondary English Education from Clemson University and then masters degrees in Secondary English Education and Secondary Administration from Clemson and Converse College, respectively.

She has taught at a number of high schools across South Carolina, but she has said she will always be a Bulldog at heart. Mrs. Goodwin is married to 1983 Camden High Alumni Harrison Goodwin. They have two children, Tyler, a musician who is pursuing a doctorate in french horn performance at Indiana University, and Megan, a 6th grade science teacher at Hartsville Middle School. Mrs. Goodwin loves to travel, take pictures, sew and read (which she does A LOT).
