Welcome back Bobcats!  I am so excited to be working with you this year in the Library.  I feel privileged to get to work with you, your teachers, and your family as we grow together to become the best readers we can be.  

This will be my second year in the Library, my fifth at Midway Elementary.  I previously taught 2nd and 4th grade.  My journey to become a teacher and librarian started as an Instructional Assistant at Pine Tree Hill Elementary where I served six years in Special Education, Kindergarten, and Math/Reading Intervention.  I have a passion for education and technology!  I completed my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education through the University of Phoenix and my Masters in Library and Information Science through the University of South Carolina.  

I am originally from Myrtle Beach and have lived in Camden, SC for the past 18 years.  Upon moving to Camden, I met my husband of 16 years, Bill, and we have two handsome sons, Matthew, 21, and Philip, 15.  We reside in the Camden area and could not think of a better place to live.  Our family has had a long relationship with KCSD, teaching in Kershaw County schools.  I feel it an honor to continue the tradition!
