As a 23 year veteran teacher, I have experienced all levels of education, from middle school, high school, adult education and State Prison education of incarcerated men. I returned to the classroom to teach Spanish at Camden High school. I am also certified in, and have taught 13 of my 23 years in the Special Education resource classroom, working with students who are divergent learners.
I attended College of Charleston, Charleston Southern University and call USC Columbia my alma mater. Go Cocks!
I received a Bachelor's of Arts in Spanish and Latin American Studies. I received my teaching credential through the Critical Needs program, now called PACE, and also received my Special Education Certification through the Project CREATE program offered by State Dept of Education.
I consider myself somewhat of a "unicorn" teacher in that I am certified in 2 critical subject areas and I really love teaching in either field. I use my special education background daily in class to meet the needs of all students.
I look forward to finishing out my teaching career in Camden!
