Ms. Sharon Lewis

My name is Sharon Lewis and I am a fourth grade teacher at Jackson School.  I have previously taught kindergarten (3 years in GA and 1 year in SC), first grade (1 year in SC), second grade (4 years in SC), fifth grade (1 year in SC), served as an assistant principal (2 years in Bentonville, AR), and a building principal (8 years in Bentonville, AR).  I have also been an adjunct professor at both NorthWest Arkansas Community College (4 years, Early Childhood Department) and John Brown University (2 years, Curriculum and Instruction).

Although I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia, I have lived in South Carolina, Texas, and Arkansas.  I am excited to have found Kershaw School District and look forward to calling it home for many years to come.  I am a servant leader and enjoy learning new things to help me improve myself, as well as how to help others to improve and be successful. I love that Jackson School is a Leader In Me School because I have been trained in the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and value the principles it embraces which facilitate the growth of leadership characteristics in self and others.

I have two children, a son (26) and a daughter (24). I also have a son-in-law, and my precious granddaughter, Sutton, who is almost 3 years old.  When I am not working, I enjoy listening to music, going to concerts, sitting on my porch watching the birds, and spending time with friends and family.

I look forward to working with the students, families, staff, and the community of Jackson School! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Sharon Lewis
