I am excited about joining the dolphins as a 4th grade teacher at DME this year! I have 15 years of teaching experience, and all of those years have been at ADE in Sumter, SC. I taught 2nd and 3rd grade students for six years, and I taught 5th grade Math and Science for nine. In addition, I was a kindergarten teacher's aide for a year and a teaching assistant in an autistic class for two years. I graduated from the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!) with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. I am also Read to Succeed endorsed. I live in Lugoff, and I am bringing my skills home for the 2022-23 school year.
My husband and I have been married since 1983, and we have three wonderful children and one absolutely fabulous grandchild. (One of my sons is a 4th grade teacher too!) My husband and I also have two dogs, lots of chickens, and three grandpuppies.
This will be a great school year filled with many educational opportunities! I look forward to working with you and your child. Since educating students is a partnership between parents and teachers, I encourage you to contact me with any questions or concerns. Please feel free to call me during planning, after school, or contact me through email or Class Dojo. Let’s focus on what we can do to make this year fun, productive, and the best year ever!
