Hello, my name is Nolan Hunter. I grew up in the mountains of Fairview, North Carolina. Before becoming a teacher, I served 4 years in the Air Force as an F-16 mechanic. My wife, Mandi, and I have been married for 27 years. Mandi is a 3rd-grade teacher in Sumter. We have two children, Chandler, 22, and Ellie, 20. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of South Carolina Upstate, a Masters Degree in Technology in Education from Lesley University, and a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Scranton University. I will be teaching 6th-grade science at Camden Middle School for the 2022-2023 school year. This will be my 18th year teaching. I was selected as Teacher of the Year in 2007-2008 and 2021-2022 at my previous school. I have served as athletic director, head volleyball coach, head boys/girls basketball coach, head football coach, and head varsity softball coach. I am excited about this upcoming school year!
