Mrs. Torres was born and raised in Kershaw County, a graduate of Camden High School (here's to you). After attending Charleston Southern University, her marriage to her sweetheart took her to Virginia and then Texas for about eight collective years before she and her sweetheart returned with their children to Kershaw County. It was time to come home, as there was no other school district in the nation that she could imagine educating her own children. The 2021-22 school year marks Mrs. Torres's third year with the North Central Middle School Patriots, and it feels like family! Mrs. Torres loves project-based learning and increasing student engagement through relationship-building. Her first goal in the classroom is to create a safe, loving environment where students will flourish, not just academically, but socially and emotionally as well. In everything she does, she asks herself, "How would I want my children's teachers to do this?" This reflection is her driving force. Aside from spending time with her family, investing in her students' development is her favorite thing to do. She believes in this school district with all her heart! #PatriotStrong #KCStrong
