Mrs. Jennifer Hester
I am currently employed as an Instructional Assistant at North Central High School. Prior to this, I spent three years as a Substitute Teacher in Kershaw County at all levels of education.
I was born and raised in Syracuse, New York. I relocated to South Carolina with my husband and children when the United States Army sent us to Fort Jackson. After 28 years of service, my husband retired and we decided to stay here in South Carolina. My 2 girls attend the new North Central Elementary school and my son attends North Central High. I also have 3 older sons and 1 older daughter along with 7 grandchildren.
My degree in Criminal Justice allowed me to spend four years working as a Paralegal for different criminal defense law firms. I am excited to be on my new path in Education and I am currently working on my Teacher Certification in Special Education Multicategorical and a Master’s degree in Divergent Learning.
In my spare time, I volunteer with Wildlife Rescues, I help maintain our hobby farm, I like to paint and I am an avid reader.
