My name is Rebecca Bonig, and I am so excited to be teaching at Lugoff Elementary School again this year!  I have been teaching for 18 years in both Richland 2 and Kershaw County. I received my Bachelors of Art in Elementary Education from Columbia College in 2003.  

Family is a big part of who I am. My husband and I have been married for 18 years and have two children. My daughter, Madison (17), will be a senior this year and wants to pursue a career in criminal psychology.  My son, Joshua (14), is a freshman. Both attend Spring Valley High School.  Our family is very active in our local church by serving in many different roles and small groups throughout the week.

A little more about myself:  I love the beach, Starbucks, and of course Chick-fil-A!  Teaching is my passion and I enjoy integrating technology as often as I can.  I am excited about this school year and working alongside you as we continue to stretch your child’s knowledge of math and science.  

My goal at the end of the school year is for my students to leave my classroom with a great love of school and confident math students!
