This is Mr. Smith's second year teaching social studies at Camden High School. He is a graduate of Lugoff-Elgin HS, and The Citadel.  After graduating from The Citadel, he was commissioned into the U.S. Army as a Field Artillery officer.  He has worked in Higher Education Student Affairs for twenty years, at The Citadel and Trident Technical College as International Admission Coordinator. 

He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from The Citadel, and Master's Degrees in History and Counselor Education from The Citadel Graduate College\College of Charleston. While at The Citadel, he taught classes in Moral/Ethical decision making, and leader development.  He served as an assistant instructor in 300 level college history classes in the Civil War and World Wars I and II.
