Hello Midway Bobcats!
My name is Mrs. Johnston. I am very excited to be your Resource Teacher. My teaching career spans thirty-seven years (grades K-12 and Adult Education). This is my second year teaching at Midway Elementary and I can not wait to meet all of you! We are going to have a fantastic school year.
I am a graduate of Howard University where I received my B.S. and M.Ed. Teaching career: Grades K - 12 and Adult Education in the District of Columbia, Virginia, New Jersey, and South Carolina.
As a Special Education Resource Teacher, it is my job to oversee the education and training of students with physical, emotional, mental, and learning disabilities. As well as to design and deliver lessons geared towards the individual needs and capabilities of the students under my supervision. One of my favorite quotes is by Albert Einstein, "Education is not the learning of facts but the training of the mind to think."
