I always tell everyone that I have finally figured out what I want to do when I grow up! I received my teaching degree just 5 years ago in Elementary Education from Western Governors University and I graduated from Grand Canyon University in October 2021 with a Masters in Reading. With all the hard work and patience, I will be starting my 5th year as a dedicated 5th grade teacher!

I am originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and moved to South Carolina 6 years ago with my husband of 23 years and my 17-year old son. I miss my family very much, but I definitely do not miss the snow and cold! I am looking forward to creating new memories and adventures here in South Carolina.  I couldn't imagine being in any other profession than teaching - I absolutely love it!
