Hi! My name is Mr. Gelé and I am originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I have been a South Carolinian since 2006, graduated from USC in the fall of 2020, and am in my second year at Stover Middle. After three years as a U.S. Army Drill Sergeant, another five years as a U.S. Army Senior Leader, and a virtual learning parent for my two daughters during the pandemic, I decided to combine my love for instructing with my educational background and become a Public-School English Language Arts Teacher.
While I enjoy learning and educating, I also find that leisure activities are fundamental to success in living our lives to the fullest. Therefore, I find great happiness in this release while appreciating the camaraderie of team sports and an active lifestyle.
As for my preferred subject of English, I will say that writing is a complex yet creative activity which I adore. I also love to get swept away in a good book, analyzing passages to find meaning that authors have put their heart and soul into devising.
I chose English stewardship because I have a passion for evoking creativity and expression in composition and literature. Reading and writing create a challenging atmosphere that serves as a powerful tool to connect with others. I consider this to be a great responsibility that we all share during life. Accordingly, I will always show respect to this subject and its power while also affording my students the distinction they deserve as young readers and writers. I anxiously await the excellent times to be had in 22-23 at Stover Middle. GO Tigers!
