I grew up in Kershaw County and attended Wateree Elementary, Lugoff-Elgin Middle, Lugoff-Elgin High, and graduated from Camden High. I attended the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!) for my Bachelors in History and my Masters in Teaching Secondary Education. I taught 6th, 7th, & 8th grade Social Studies over in Lexington One and Richland One School Districts and also did a long-term sub job at Columbia High School before moving back to Camden. I was a substitute for 7 years in Kershaw County and finally decided to plunge back into full-time teaching last year with the KC Virtual Academy. This is my 2nd year with this district and I am happy to be back in the high school setting face-to-face. I love to kayak, I'm a scrapbooker, and I help foster cats with Cat Around Town Project.
