I would like to share with you how blessed I am to be at Wateree Elementary! I love our school and our students! I am a product of Kershaw County, so it means the world to me that I get to teach in the very district that I was taught! I graduated from Camden High School in 2007. I then pursued my dream of being an elementary school teacher at Francis Marion University where I graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education. I received my Masters of Education at Clemson University with a degree in Teaching and Learning with an emphasis in STEAM.
After graduation, I worked as an assistant 4-K teacher and also worked with the After School Program at Lyttleton Learning Place. During this time in 2012 I married my high school sweetheart. We now have two sweet little cats named Dale and Benny!
When I began my journey here at Wateree, I was the Title 1 Reading Tutor for K5-2nd grade in 2012-2013. I fell in love with Wateree and the children who walk these halls! I am so thrilled to be a part of this school. I call it my home! This is now my 10th year teaching second grade. Our school's theme this year is "Choose HAPPY - Have a Positive Productive Year!" I can't wait to see how much we progress this year. I am honored to be a part of your child's journey.
