If you would like a test kit to use at home, please notify your school nurse.
If your child tests positive for COVID-19, the following steps would need to be taken:
-
Report the result to the school nurse via https://www.kcsdschools.net/covidreport, via email, or phone.
-
Isolate at home for 5 days from the date of positive test or onset of symptoms.
-
Return to school on day 6.
-
They should wear a mask upon return on days 6 - 10.
If your child is a close contact to a positive COVID-19 individual:
-
They may attend school at this time as long as they have no symptoms of illness.
-
If symptoms develop, they would stay home and test for COVID-19.
-
They should wear a mask while around others for 10 days.
