Hi Bobcats! My name is Julie Strange. I have been a Speech-Language Pathologist for 23 years. I am beginning my 4th year in Kershaw County and am currently serving students in 4K-5th grade at Midway Elementary School. I have experience in the field of Speech Language Pathology, which includes providing evaluations and therapy for those in need in the hospital, home health, outpatient, and school settings. I began my career as a Speech-Language Pathologist with Chesterfield County School District and served students in 4K-12 grade for 6 years. I then pursued gaining experience in the medical setting of Speech-Language Pathology and worked in that setting for 13 years before deciding to return to the school setting four years ago. I graduated from Columbia College in 1999 with a B.A. degree in Speech-Language Pathology and continued my education to receive my Master's degree plus 30 hours in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of South Carolina in 2003. I earned my Certificate of Clinical Competence (national certification) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). I am also licensed by the SC board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology as a Speech-Language Pathologist and currently hold certification by the State Department of Education. I live just outside of Camden and have an 18-year-old son who is my pride and joy. I also have a dog named Buppy, who is an English setter. I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach, playing tennis and listening to live music. I also enjoy college football and cheering on the Carolina Gamecocks and Penn State Nittany Lions!
