Mrs. Rachel Knoerr

My name is Mrs. Knoerr, and this is my third year at Camden Middle School. I attended Kershaw County schools as a student, and this is where I began my teaching career. I graduated Lugoff-Elgin High School in 1998. In 2002 I graduated from The University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Concentration in Writing and began teaching in January of 2003. I attained my Master's in Education in Instructional Accommodation for the Divergent Learner from Francis Marion in 2007 and my initial National Board Certification in 2008. I renewed my National Board Certification in 2018. I also have my online teaching endorsement. I am in my 18th year of teaching, and I have previously taught at Lugoff-Elgin High School, The Continuous Learning Center (where I was TOY in 2006 and 2008), and South Carolina Virtual Charter School. I am married to Coach Kevin Knoerr who teaches US History at Lugoff-Elgin High School, and we have two beautiful daughters Madison (15) and London (10) who also attend Kershaw County Schools. I look forward to working with you this year to meet the needs of your child, so he/she can be successful.

When I am not teaching English, I enjoy spending time with my husband and children watching college and pro football and enjoying all things outdoors--camping, rafting, etc. During Cheer season and Softball season, though, you will find me at competitions and on the softball fields cheering on my children.
