Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Sharon Baytes BSN, RN

I have been a School Nurse with Kershaw County School District since October, 2004, and the Lead School Nurse since 2006. As a School Nurse I enjoy working with families to support a healthy and safe learning experience. As the Lead School Nurse, I work with all the District Office Staff and School Nurses to facilitate a coordinated School Health program integrating federal and state laws and KCSD policies.

I grew up in Kershaw County and graduated from North Central High School. I graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in December 1996. I worked as a Labor Delivery Nurse for 3 1/2 years and a Public Health Nurse  for 4 years, before coming to School Nursing in October 2004. I have  enjoyed every part of my nursing career and love working with families to promote health and learning.

I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children.  I love music and serve as the Music Director at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Bethune. I believed that nursing is a calling and I love being able to serve in the community I grew up in. It is my desire to work with parents to eliminate any health related barriers to learning so that every child can have a safe and healthy environment to learn in. I look forward to many more school years to come!
