About Clubs

  • Camden High School is very committed to community service and involvement. Year after year, students and staff raise thousands of dollars for various organizations. Our Student Council provides the leadership for United Way Spirit Week. Camden High's volleyball teams sponsor "Dig Pink" to raise funds for breast cancer research and education. Our Relay for Life team leads the way for Relay for Life. DeSaussure Tri-Hi-Y's annual Dodge Ball Tournament benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

All organizations have at least one activity to benefit local charitable organizations such as the Kershaw Community Medical Clinic, Food for the Soul, and Christian Community Ministries. Beta Club members contribute thousands of pounds of canned goods during its High Five Turkey Drive.  The Spirit Club collaborates with KCSD Food Services to collect for the U.S. Marine Corps' Toys for Tots.

Our Commitment to Excellence permeates our dedication to community service. Students donate over 5,000 hours of their time each year to various community groups. Athletes and other students volunteer as readers at local elementary schools, during the Kershaw County Read In and on Read Across America Day.  JROTC cadets volunteer at the local animal shelter and participate in the Adopt-A-Highway program. The PAWS art club creates artwork for community displays.
