Dr. Istifanus Sanga

Dr. Isti Sanga is the Executive Director for Educational Technology here at Kershaw County School District.  Dr. Sanga earned both his undergraduate (B.A.) and master’s (M.A.) degrees from Columbia International University, Columbia South Carolina.  Dr. Sanga earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Educational Leadership from the University of South Carolina.

Before coming to Kershaw County School district, Dr. Sanga taught at the University of South Carolina Department of Educational Leadership for nine (9) years.  Additionally, Dr. Sanga taught in the Department of Educational Technology, Research and Assessment at Northern Illinois University for fifteen (15) years.

While at the University of South Carolina, Dr. Sanga taught courses designed to help prospective school leaders in South Carolina with knowledge and skills in designing technology-rich learning environments.  While at Northern Illinois University, Dr. Sanga’s focus was training prospective teachers on best theories and practices of integrating technology in learning as well as training master’s and Doctoral students in the art of developing digital learning environments (eLearning).  Dr. Sanga has extensive national and international experience in the design and implementation of eLearning programs.

Here at Kershaw County School District (KCSD), Dr. Sanga is using his background and experience in training school leaders and teachers to promote best practices of integrating technology into teaching and learning.  Additionally, Dr. Sanga continues to work with exceptional teachers in KCSD to develop the best eLearning program in the state.

Dr. Sanga and his family lives in Chapin, South Carolina.
