Hi! My name is Sarah Foster Anderson and I am one of the school counselors at NCMS! I am excited to be returning with my Patriot family for this school year! I have been at NCMS since Fall of 2018 and have worked in education since 2012!
I grew up in Fort Mill, SC and always dreamed of becoming a teacher. I got my bachelor's degree in Middle Level Education from Columbia College (Go Koalas!) and spent 3 years teaching 7th grade Math in Rock Hill. I loved working with middle school students every day and helping them solve their problems, so I followed my passion and got my Master's degree in School Counseling. I have since gone back to school and obtained my Educational Specialist postgraduate degree in School Counseling. I spent 3 years as a high school counselor in Cherryville, NC before moving back to SC. I love working with middle schoolers again and getting to help them through all of the ups and downs! I am so glad I found NCMS--there is absolutely no better school!
I currently live in Elgin with my husband and our two puppies: cockapoo and a pitbull mix. My husband teaches science and coaches football at Blythewood High School. When I'm not helping my kids at school, I am playing with my puppies, attending my husband's football games, crafting, cooking, or reading! I love my career and am excited to be here at North Central Middle working with a fantastic group of students, parents, and staff!
