I am a graduate of Camden High School, Winthrop University (B.A., English, Secondary Education), and the American College of Education (M.A., Curriculum and Instruction). I earned my National Board Certification in 2003 and recertified in 2013. I began my career teaching eighth grade English/language arts at North Central, and after six years of teaching, I transferred to Lugoff-Elgin, where I taught for ten years. During that time, I taught all levels of English III and English IV, I started the Advanced Placement English Language and Composition course, which I taught for seven years, and I advised the newspaper staff and the yearbook staff. I returned to LEHS in 2018 after having taught virtually for four years. While I am a Camden native, I am married to a former Demon and mom to a dental hygienist and a future Demon, and I consider LE home.  In addition to teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, cooking, reading, and exercising.
