Hi friends! This will be my eighth year teaching second grade, and my fourth year at Wateree Elementary! I was born in Statesboro Georgia, but moved to the Lugoff area when I was in middle school. I grew up cheering, dancing and writing all the time! I was blessed with the opportunity to continue cheering while studying Early Childhood Education at the College of Charleston. Following graduation, I taught for two years at Knightsville Elementary in Summerville, South Carolina. After deciding to move back home to be closer to family, I taught for one year at Chapin Elementary. I've been at WES ever since and I absolutely love it here. Last year, I married my best friend who aIso grew up in Kershaw County.  I consider myself a lifelong learner and love to learn new things. I will complete my Masters program in Educational Leadership & Administration at USC this year. I can’t tell you how much it means to be teaching in the same school district I graduated from. I’m so passionate about learning and loving children. I’m so excited to learn with your child this year and to watch them grow and shine! I am passionate about learning and helping children become the people and learners they want to be. My philosophy is to know your child, love your child and to teach your child all that I can.
