Hi! First, I just have to say that I LOVE my PTH family! I am honored to represent Pine Tree Hill as this year's "Teacher of the Year"! This is my 5th year at Pine Tree Hill and my 14th year teaching. Our school theme this year is "We are one school with many stories!" I look forward to diving into each chapter of the school year as we prepare our 5th graders for middle school.
I was born in Spartanburg, SC and have lived all over the state. I have called Camden home for last 15 years. I received my undergrad degree in Elementary Education from Lander University where I also minored in music. I received my Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision from Clemson University. I have taught in grades 3-8 and even taught K4 for a couple of years.
I live in Camden with my husband (James) and two children (Abbie and Ayden). We have a sweet little Boston Terrier (Lucy), and a spunky hound (Bailey). When the school year starts, we are always on the go with my children's sports at the middle and high school: cross-country meets, football games, track meets and baseball games. I love to go glamping, crafting, sewing, and go Clemson Football games!!! Go TIGERS!
I am proud and honored to be a Bullpup and excited meet all my new students! See you soon!!!
