My name is Mindy Donlon and I am so excited about beginning my 4th year at North Central Middle. This year (2022-2023) I will be teaching 7th grade, which I have only previously taught the eighth grade at North Central Middle. I am beginning my 10th year of teaching and I have taught grades 6-12. I am so excited to be working at the BEST school in Kershaw County for another year!
I am married and have a son who just turned one! We also have a 4-year-old Labradoodle and our hands are full with them both! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, attending Gamecock sporting events, and riding my peleton! I am passionate about working with individuals with disabilities and preparing them for real life, after school, and also providing parents with resources and advice to help their students become as successful as possible.
I am originally from Augusta, Georgia. I attended Augusta State University for my bachelors in Special Education and The University of South Carolina for my masters in severe and multiple disabilities. Before teaching, I spent most of my summers working as a camp counselor at Camp Winshape and Camp Twin Lakes. I got involved with working in special education as a third grader, reading to our buddy class, and fell in love and knew I was born to be a teacher.
My favorite quote: "Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." -Albert Einstein
