Hello everyone! I'm Mr. Cupido. I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Physical Education and have been a personal trainer and self defense instructor for more than a decade. Wrestling is my sport of choice. I competed in college where I was a 3x All American. I am very passionate about building better people, that's why I love teaching and coaching. I feel that there is no better avenue for instilling hope and building character. The joy of teaching health class is that it provides the students with the forum to discuss and investigate the topics that really concern them in their day-to-day lives, such as: social interactions and their consequences, nutrition and working out, mental and emotional well-being, what it means to be a person of character, and many other stimulating topics .
I teach my classes and pull all my topics and lessons straight from the South Carolina Health Education Standards which can be found here:

There will be many student led discussions where the students will be allowed to ask any questions that they want, which I will answer to the best of my ability using the curriculum resources. Since the Health Standards cover topics such as mental health, human reproduction, and the such, please do not be alarmed if/when your student comes home and tells you about a discussion topic that we covered. If you are concerned in any way, please don't hesitate to contact me and I will gladly fill you in on any and all details. Please, Please READ the Health Standards, they contain all the possible topics that the state of South of Carolina wants the students to cover.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me using the email address provided. Thank you for taking the time to read this and have a blessed day!
