My name is Kristi Britt and the 2022-2023 school year will be my sixth year as the WES Librarian.  I am originally from Blythewood and now live in Lugoff with my husband, son, and two dogs.  

My favorite thing about being a librarian is getting to introduce students to books that they fall in love with.  

I earned my undergraduate degree in Business Management from Clemson University and my Masters of Library and Information Science degree at the University of South Carolina.  Even though I have been to both universities, you will find me wearing orange and purple on Fridays and cheering for the Tigers!

I enjoy reading, drinking coffee, crafting, movie nights, and playing board games with my family.  

My favorite book series is the Harry Potter series and I also enjoy reading historical fiction.  When I was in elementary school, my favorite books were the Babysitter's Club series by Ann M. Martin and The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Spear.  

I look forward to sharing my love of reading with our students.  My motto is from one of my very favorite authors, J.K. Rowling, “If you don’t like to read, you haven’t found the right book.”
