Mrs. Laresa Campbell

My name is Laresa Campbell, and I am ecstatic about being your child's 5th grade teacher. Some might say I did it backwards because I had my children and then went to college to earn my teaching degree. I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix in May 2017. I graduated with my Master of Education in Language and Literacy from USC in 2022. I have been incredibly blessed to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a full-time teacher. Before college, I worked as a preschool teacher at Bethesda Christian School. I have been involved at Wateree since 2003 as a parent, volunteer, and substitute teacher. As a family, we have lived in Utah, California, Texas, and South Carolina. I have six wonderful boys, five of whom graduated from Lugoff-Elgin High School. The youngest is finally a senior. I am also a proud grandma to six grandchildren, four boys and two girls. I love to read, particularly children's books. My hobbies include theatre, photography, and sewing, and I love to watch musicals. But, of course, my favorite activity is hanging out with my husband and boys.

Teaching has always been a passion of mine! I welcome your calls and messages. If you would like to discuss anything with me, please call the school office at 438-8018 (my extension is 8237). E-mail is an excellent way to keep in touch with Laresa.Campbell@kcsdschools.net and Class Dojo.
