My name is Laresa Campbell and I am ecstatic about being your child's fifth grade teacher. Some might say that I did it backwards because I had my children first and then went to college to earn my teaching degree. I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix in May 2017. I have been incredibly blessed to be able to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a full time teacher. Before I went to college I worked for five years at Bethesda Christian School as a preschool teacher. I have been involved at Wateree since 2003 as a parent, volunteer, and substitute teacher.
As a family we have lived in Utah, California, Texas and South Carolina. I have six wonderful boys and five of them have graduated from Lugoff-Elgin High School. The youngest is a rising Sophomore. I am also a proud grandma to five grandchildren, three boys and two girls. I love to read, particularly children’s books. My hobbies include theatre, photography, sewing, and I love to watch musicals. My favorite activity is hanging out with my husband and boys.
Teaching has always been a passion of mine! I welcome your calls and messages. Any time you have anything you would like to discuss with me, please call the school office at 438-8018 (my extension is 8237). E-mail is a great way for us to keep in touch Laresa.Campbell@kcsdschools.net and Class Dojo.
