Mrs. Laresa Campbell

My name is Laresa Campbell and I am ecstatic about being your child's fifth grade teacher.  Some might say that I did it backwards because I had my children first and then went to college to earn my teaching degree. I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix.  I have been incredibly blessed to be able to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a full time teacher.  Before I went to college I worked for five years at Bethesda Christian School as a preschool teacher. I also was a substitute teacher across the district.  I have been involved at Wateree since 2003 as a parent, volunteer, and substitute teacher.  It feels like coming home to teach these fifth graders.

I am originally from out West and we moved around a bit before settling here.  As a family we have lived in Utah, California, Texas and South Carolina.  I have six wonderful boys and five of them have graduated from Lugoff-Elgin High School. The youngest is starting high school.  I am also a proud grandma to four grandchildren, two boys and two girls.  As a family we love to play games, swim in  our backyard, camp, and watch sports. Our favorite sport is basketball.  We love March Madness!

Teaching has always been a passion of mine!  I love to read, particularly children’s books.  My hobbies include theatre, photography, sewing, and I love to watch musicals. My favorite activity is hanging out with my husband and boys.
