My name is Cody Strong and I am thrilled to be the Assistant Principal at Pine Tree Hill Elementary. I am a proud product of the Kershaw County School District. I graduated from Winthrop University in 2007 with a B.A. in History and then from Gardner-Webb University in 2015 with a M.Ed. in Executive Leadership. I began my teaching career at Rock Hill High School where I taught Social Studies from 2008-2016. I was also a baseball and swim teach coach while at Rock Hill High. In 2016-2017, I was at Kelly Mill Middle School where I was also a Social Studies teacher and I was an Assistant Principal at Lugoff Elgin Middle School from 2017-2021.
I am married to an absolutely wonderful woman who is also a Kershaw County graduate and we have two sons, Jake (10) and Grayson (7). I am a huge Clemson fan and my personal interests include woodworking, hunting/fishing, and spending time with my family. It is a dream come true to be able to be back in Kershaw County and I am looking forward to working with the students, faculty, and community here. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks and let's have a great year!
