I'm originally from Altoona, PA and after graduating high school in 1994 I enlisted in the Army as a Cannon Crewmember. I attended One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Ft. Sill OK. After achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant Promotable I chose to attend ROTC at Cameron University and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant into the Field Artillery Branch on May 6, 2004.
I retired from active duty in January 2017 and immediately began working at NCHS as the Senior Army Instructor. My goal as a JROTC Instructor is to make a positive impact on each Cadet by helping shape their future to become better citizens, provide leadership opportunities, and serve as a mentor.

My awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (3 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (1 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (6 OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal (2nd award), National Defense Service Medal (BSS), Armed Forces Expeditionary Award, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (2), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2), NATO Medal, Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge and Italian Parachutist Badge, and Drill Sergeant Badge.
I've been married 24 years to my wife Crystal and have two daughters (Meagan and Macie). Meagan is a graduate of College of Charleston and Macie is in 8th grade.
